A living treasure

One of the best things to happen in Santa Fe in the last 20 years is the building of the Dale Ball Trails. You have an opportunity to thank Dale and his wife Sylvia at the next Dale Ball Day, March 7th. As his very proud son, I am very thankful that he is still able to participate in events such as this. If you attend, Dale and Sylvia Ball will be delighted to see you.

  1. Passing this on:

Hello – I would like to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped pull together Dale Ball Day. We had a good turn- out, probably over 50 folks including the volunteers who were up the hill working during the recognition “ceremony.” Thanks especially to Carol Branch and co. for lining up the Masters Program volunteers, also to Kerry Helke and the Trails Alliance for a fairly well-attended guided hike, and Michael and Ray and SFFTS for being there to lead the bike ride despite sometimes bizarre weather conditions. Also thanks to our trail crew leaders, Henry, Brent, and Peter, plus Cat “the Sawyer” Downing. It was all a great tribute to the work of Dale and Sylvia Ball, and I think they and their family members were very pleased to be part of it. Also a wondeful chance to recognize City and County efforts, kick off SFCT’s contract with the City, and have some good chats with prospective partners. I look forward to working with each of you as we continue down the trail! – Tim
