Making a joyful noise

Hits: 13

Speaking of joyful noises, I can recall squeals of delight from children spying wrapped gifts under the tree during the holiday season. The carolers and hot cider sippers seem to make joyful noises too. The plethora of movies that include a holiday or Christmas theme is joyful if you can find one you like. And all those holiday albums that the music stars put out certainly include lots of noise and some of it can be joyful.

Let us be thankful for what we have and our important needs being met at this time. So many headlines make me think there are no reasonable people anymore. Haters are going to hate, I guess, but where did they obtain the right to condemn others less fortunate? If my country was in chaos and laws were not being observed, I would definitely want to come to the great USA for personal safety and wide ranging opportunity. That is what every one of our ancestors did, at one time or another. Are we today entitled to say no more newcomers? How about just making sure the entry fee is reasonable and we can bring in people that will help us solve our problems? We do have several problems these days. Those nasty headlines again…

I wish you much joy (and all of the noises you want to hear) this year. Plus I hope to be in a position to say the same thing next year. Many things happen that we desire and design while other forces are beyond our control, yet may affect our destiny. Keep reaching for your goals, and change them if need be.
